Publications Committee

The Publications Committee oversees and manages ICOPLAST’s publishing activities, managing the overall strategy for publications, including peer-reviewed journals, books, and other materials. The Committee ensures that publications meet high standards of quality, accuracy and adherence to ethical guidelines, and monitors the performance of journals and other publications, evaluating the effectiveness of publishing strategies.

JPRAS is the official Journal of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS). Published by Elsevier, it publishes original research, educational material, and articles on all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

Based on Abstracts submitted and presented at the Congress in September 2025, manuscripts are subject to an initial peer review process of the ICOPLAST Publications Committee followed by the Journal’s usual peer review process. Successful papers will be published together in an online ICOPLAST/JPRAS collection and made freely available online for up to 6 months without payment of an Open Access Fee and will remain online afterwards behind a paywall.
